This project was for a repeat client who I first worked for over 10 years ago, so I was honored to work with them again at their new home. This is new construction, so no backyard came with the home. As a result, we were able to fully customize the design without working around any existing features. The shape of the lot guided the design of the swimming pool with a 45 degree angle for the deep end, and placement of the in ground spa. We added a large shade structure with ceiling fans for additional comfort to shade the large patio addition at the back of the house. We planned ahead for a future BBQ island, and added plumbing and electrical for a seamless addition. The plant choices, drip irrigation, and synthetic turf make the backyard drought tolerant and low maintenance- a request of the homeowner’s.
